Doing big shot staggered install on FLSTN today, any tips?

p.s. Did a search, but came up with a lot of useless info about sound, performance, etc, but nothing pertaining to the actual install. Maybe there's a FAQ I'm missing?
I used the Fuelpac from Vance & Hines and got it from Eastern for $213. It was so easy to install and set up a monkey could have done it. Saved at lot of money by bipassing the Harley shop. Bought the SEAC from Eastern also for about $100.
My savings was over $500 by not using the dealer, of course I didn't get a Dyno tune. But V&H are the drag racing experts and have all the codes for any variations of pipe or air cleaners.
I did not put in the quiet baffels in my Vance & Hines Big Shot Staggered Pipes and yes they are loud but sweet! My neighbors are not pleased but I love the sound.
Given that I'm new to motorcycles, I took my time on this one, got some help from pops, and took hours just getting the exhaust bolted up properly. SEAC and reflash will happen tomorrow morning, as I'm done for the night.I did fire her up and I must say, she sounds fantastic!

Just to make you crazy I went into the Eastern site to check pricing:
This is todays pricing.
Vance & Hines Big Shot Staggered for Softails $479.95
Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner $129.95
Vance and Hines Fuelpak $ 206.95
Total cost, if you do the work yourself, $816.85
I will take a wild guess an say that Harley charged you well over $1,500 after you get your flash and final tune. Even with your 20% discount. My dealer wanted close to $600 just for the pipes plus the cost to install them. The SERT is a big ticket item to at about $450.
It takes about one hour to install the V&H Fuelpak and you set up the codes yourself. You can change them anytime and you don't need to get a Harley Flash.
I do understand its a done deal but others may want or need to save some money and take the inexpensive route.
I am doing the work myself, though I will ultimately end up paying for a dyno tune. I got the SERT for $150 more than the price listed for the fuel pack, but I may need the added flexibility down the road. My price wasn't far off the numbers you posted, but I'll definitely look at Eastern Performance in the future. If you're not already on the payroll, they should give you a little bit of commission on HDF sales.

There is also a little note about removing the stock tranny/exhaust bracket. I didn't see this note, and left the bracket on. After my pipes were all installed, I realized the bracket contacts the pipe. Getting the bracket off AFTER the pipes are installed is a HUGE PIA! I am not sure if your '07 has this bracket, but if it does, yank it off as soon as your stock system is off. Good luck..

If the price was even in the ballpark then I'd go SERT before I went Fuel Pak.
The SE AC is cheap everywhere...even at the dealer.
I'd say he did fine.
WouldBeHD...it's a GIANT pain in the *** that HD doesn't include the cables and sells them separately. It should be a crime that someone sold it to you and didn't tell you that you would need the cables too.
