Default Which holes do I weld?

Hey guys, I just took the tins off my 06' Springer (FXSTS) to send off and have painted. There are 4 holes in the top of the rear fender (not including the 2 in front for the ignition module). The one in the back is to fasten the back of the stock seat down, then two in the middle that have 1 plastic and one rubber plug in them and 1 hole in the from that has the same type fastener as the rear hole. My question: I will be putting a solo seat on and am wondering which holes to weld closed. The rear one I know since it will be a solo seat, but should I weld the middle two and leave the front one for fastening the back of a solo seat down? I have seen solos that use brackets that fasten to the side of the fender, but thought somebody here as done this before and would have some good advice on what to do. Thanks in advance!

I just did the same thing to mine over the winter. You will only want to weld the back one shut for the 2-up seat. Solo seats for '05 and earlier FXST's mounted on the sides.
