Default need help with handlebar

hello everyone,i have a 2014 fatboy that i just got this month used,it has ape bars on it which i do not like,i have a torn ligament in my left shoulder and its very uncomfortabe on rides over 30 minutes.OK with that being said i wanna change them to OEM factory bars, I had a 2003 sportster 1200c that I replaced the all the cables with braided ones,i still have the originals cables off the sporters, will they work? if i find the original bars for the fatboy? please understand that MONEY is the problem here,i dont have 500-600 to walk into HD and say put me them on there,i will have to find someone that knows what their doing and have them do it,because when it comes to brakes and throttle and clutch cables this is my life im talking about!! i wanna enjoy my ride this year maybe take some longer trips, any inpit would be greatly appriciateted

How high are the apes? I'm pretty sure the stock cables that were used on the stock bars are long enough for mini apes. So if that's what you got then the cables should be fine. I have a buddy doing the opposite on a 2007. He has done it on 2 older fat boys and in both cases he was able to use the original cables to go up. He wants black mini apes though. You might have at least found some stock bars. PM me and I will put you in touch with him. Maybe you guys can just trade bars.

Can you post up some pics of your ride and the bars? Maybe some others will chime in?
Do you have ABS? I'm not sure if it was available on the 14s. Pm sent

Your Fatboy should have ABS (mine does) and your Sportster wouldn't have.

If you end up needing to change cables and/or brake lines I have a few low milage stock sets that I would let go cheap. One set is off a new Fatboy with ABS, only had a few hundred miles on bike when bars were changed.
