Default Oil level check

Hi all, I just purchased a 2003 cvo Deuce. Unfortunately the owner did not have the owners manual.
How do I check the oil level, on the stand or off?
thanks

You can go to the Harley Davidson website and download a copy of the Owner's Manual for your bike.

And once you have downloaded the manual, you will find that you check the oil on the jiffy stand.

Invest in a Service Manual, it is the most valuable tool you will ever own.

I thought the oil dipstick states it, something like check on side stand. Maybe I dreamt that but maybe it does. And while the engine is hot like a few minutes after a ride.

I believe you are correct about the dipstick scripture, but I do believe you can check hot or cold. Cold can sometimes be deceiving if the bike has been sitting for a long period of time, cuz the oil will sometimes drain into the sump and it makes it look like the oil level is low.
