I cut mine from the back so I could re-shape the end cause I didn't like how it looked. Also the fender is thicker at the front which helps fill in the gap between the frame and the tire. I then usesed a frisbee as a guide to round the ends

Be conservative with your cuts. You can always cut more if you make a mistake. Make sure you do a mock up before your final cuts

Sorry SGT. Rosie, just seeing this thread now, I can pm you my e-mail address if it helps.
Your slim swingarm is the same as the crossbones swingarm. All you need is the crossbones wheel, you can re-use your slim spacers, rear pulley, brake caliper mount etc. The hub on the crossbones wheel is identical dimensionally to your slim hub. it's an easy bolt on. You're correct, you will need a rock guard from a fatboy or bones, that also bolts right in.
You can space out your oem slim struts with some washers, you wont see them at all once your seat is back on.
On the underside of your slim seat you're going to have to cut two small sections out of the plastic to accommodate the wider fender.
If you go the WCC route, go with the 8.5" (not the 9") the 8.5" is plenty wide enough for a 200 tire. The 9" wont hug the sides of the tire as nice and it'll add another 1/4" per side you'll have to space your struts out over the 8.5". The WCC roller fender is fairly close in profile to the slim fender. Once you pull your slim fender you can trace the curve on to the WCC fender to get the profile the same..then start cutting.
I have a thread in here somewhere kind of documenting what I did in the conversion.
Best mod I've done to my bike, looks better, handles great.
Hope that helps..again, I'll pm you my e-mail, feel free to use it if needed, you should be able to pm here soon I'm sure.
Cheers

This pic is deceiving, it must be the slight angle. The WCC fender profile matches the 17" rear rim profile almost bang on.

Stal thanks. You guys were right and the wheel/tire combo bolted right in. Trimming the seat pan, spacing the struts out 1" to clear the 9" WCC rear fender was easy. Where I ran into issues is the fitment of the rear fender. I was trying to follow Blackp5ca pictures and I messed up. I cut the wrong side of the fender the front (frame side). From a side profile the fender actually gets taller. DAMN IT!!! So I cut off the wrong side including that reinforcement.

Blackp5ca. You are a hard man to get hold of. I tried to PM to pick your brain for info but it wouldn't let me. Stal94gt has helped quite a bit. You are right on this modification. I have always wanted a fatboy but couldn't afford one. I was also looking at the RSD tracker fender kit and Heartland wide tire kit. They were all over priced and the seats really looked ugly. You have a great eye for detail and proportion just like me. Using the stock slim seat keeps the seat in line ith the frame and gas tank and it looks so much better, like stock. I got the tire on, struts spaced, etc. I literally printed off all of your pictures to copy cat. I made a mistake on the cutting of the WCC 9" roller fender. I cut the opposite side from you. It looked like the radius they had you kept and you just cut 8 to 10" off the frame side, or so I assumed. So now it does not fit as it should! What did you use for your radius, did you trace the stock blackline fender for that curve? I was really trying to get the exact layout and shape of your bike, it looks badass. Really bobbed out buts stock. I also noticed you drilled the 4 holes for the struts, but on the inside of the struts closest to the seat there are 2 more holes. DO you know what i mean, did you drill those too? What is the total length of your fender now? 9702019639

Fellas, I love the new 200. I have been inspired. The itch is all over me and Ive been searching everywhere for a crossbones wheel (I'm in the Dallas area). I found a guy in NC on craigslist an he thinks I'm a PayPal scammer. Anyway, my question to y'all is: if I can't use a Crossbones wheel, what aftermarket wheel size (17x6 still?, 18x5.5), bearings, etc. do I need. I currently have the DNA mammoth wheels on my bike. I'd rather have mismatch wheels with a 200 than 140 matching.
You mentioned Rob's used parts (sold out) has a breakout wheel but not a bones. Maybe you bought his last one. Will the breakout wheel work?

those 200 mm bikes look sweet...I already have a switchback front wheel an new tire...I may look for a rear an do a 160 on my slim...I know the hub is different an will require a half inch pulley spacer on back.

couldn't you just get a DNA mammoth rear for a fatboy an pop a 200 on it?

It seems to be the right thread for a newbie like me!
I ve found and read many on internet or HD forum but still couldnt find the exact info! And here they are!
It was by chance that could i get my dream bike! Once small guy love my 2012 old school sportster nightster and exchanged his softail! After 1000 miles on my first big bike ever - The Nightster I did let it go because of the hurting back!
My second bike now--- of course it is a harley! It is 2007 softail deluxe! My naked boy with 150mm rear tire!
Dont love the vintage look of the bike so i take off all the fenders and the seat!
Iam always the fan of the bobber! And iam finding some samples as the following pics on pinterest:

Crossbone bobber is my dream chic!

The only one thing i dont like about my bike is that its not a bad ***! The rear tire is so slimie! Could i bolt on a 200/17 tire as you guys said on my boy? Is my 07 deluxe swingarm is the same as crossbone - slim - heritage (one guyz on this forum said that his friend bolted his crossbone wheel on the heritage perfectly fit)
I should have bobbered my boy with 150 slimie tire if i didnt read this thread!

If it is possible to bolt on 200 tire on my deluxe swingarm, pls let me know so i will find a crossbone rear wheel and tire!
Thks guyz
