LOL!! Thanks, I like to help diagnose these things.
I'm leaning on Idle air, remove it and cycle it a bunch and see if anything different happens or always the same in and out. If it's always consistent try cycling it with the cylinder head temp sensor unhooked and see if that does anything different.
Ok, I cycled the IAC a bunch of times.. after 5 or 6 times when I turned the ignition off the pintle whet outwards turned and didn't come back, it actually fell off the shaft. ARGGGG lol was able to fiddle with it and place the pintle back in its place.
I bought a new intake temp sensor but no luck, with all them changes it still is high idle, like scary high idle. So I will bring it to the dealer tomorrow and leave it there for them to fix my problem $$$$$. At least I have done some trouble shooting for them. I might tell them to change the IAC anyways since it freaked me out for a minute lol.
Yup, I was going to do that but they don't have it stock so by the time they order it and get at the shop my bike will be there. I think I have done all the trouble shooting I can at this point except for the injectors, but that I'd rather them do it.
I will let you all know the verdict of my bike's stomach ache soon
07s had a problem with the throttle blade position set screw working its way IN and opening the throttle blade, causing.......high idle, something we dealers saw a lot of in 07 and 08 and check first when a bike that has a high idle condition comes in instead of throwing a bunch of unnecessary parts at it thus saving the customer a ton of money and aggravation!
Thanks Hog-doc, I will check that first thing in the morning. Fact is that was the first thing I wanted to check when I was taking the air filter off but something caught my attention and then, poof I forgot about it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I sure hope that could be it.
For closure. Finally brought it to the dealer where they spent a couple of days on it. They fixed the problem but very unfortunate they were not able to figure out what they did to fix the problem. They fiddled around with it the whole time and for some unexplained reason when putting it back together it worked fine. I really wish the whole experience could have given me the reason of it all.
Thanks for all of your help in the matter.
Now I have to fix other problems. lol last ride I lost my oil plug, so I ended up buying a new pair of jeans, exhaust wrap, brake pads and rotor, degreaser, brake cleaner and why not fix the leaking front fork gasket.
