Hello, I have not been here in a while but I have a question.
Hubby and I are getting a new seat for our bike. We have a 98 Softail custom. The seat we have right now is a LePera 2up Silhouette. It is not the most comfortable seat for longer rides. So, my hubby is now looking at the LePera Maverick. My fear is that the seat is still going to be on the hard side. I don't like the idea of spending $500 and then not liking the seat.
Does anyone know of any really comfortable seats? Hubby likes the idea of the lower back support that the maverick has and the width is 15 inches.
For rider and passenger for long long miles.. Lots of fans in here for Mustang seats.
Bought a wide vintage solo with matching rear and I can say it's the thickest widest comfiest looking passenger seat I've ever seen.. Though I don't have it on the bike now.. just riding solo.. The rear seat does push the driver forward a little bit, which I'm not too crazy about.. But still either way for the rider the rider seat is awesome.. I'd go cross-country with that seat in a heartbeat.
I got mine from ccseats.com. It is very comfortable and they are great to deal with. If you do a search here for cc seats, you will see a lot of positive messages for them, as well.

misslaura... I recently bought a new 2upseat from c&c seats.. I highly recomend them. My gf is much more comfy and happy on it. The C&C Sport Tour 2 up has a 10inch rear passenger area compared to the about 6 inch rear on the lepera. And the C&C is better looking in my opinion, and the prices are great. And to boot they are super good people at C&C.. awesome customer service!!
Does Lazyboy make a Harley Bike Seat yet? I want one when they do... then I can mount a 42" plasma screen on the bars and a dvd player on the back! I'll be in my element and never return home again

RE: The best seats??
My recently purchased 2-up seat is the Corbin Dual Tour. I can't compare it to the others as I've never owned a LePera or Mustang seat, but the Corbin is comfortable for me and my wife seems to like it too. I bought it mostly because it has an integral backrest (purchased separately) for my wife, so I don't have to fool around with taking a sissy bar on and off the bike. I can go from solo to 2-up seat and vice versa by simply removing one bolt, swapping seats, and replacing the bolt. It takes me about two minutes to change seats now.
Thanks for your input. I came across the C&C website and was looking at the Sport Tour. I told the hubby how much they cost and so now he thinks that it won't be a good seat. Too afordable I guess? I am going to mention it again. I guess I can check out the return policy and such. I don't know. The Sport Tour looks good to me!
I thought the same thing when I saw the price, but the quality is top notch. I would suggest calling them; as I mentioned earlier, they are great to deal with and very helpful. I would also search HDForums, there is a lot of positive feedback on the quality of their product.

Glad to help. BTW, there is nothing wrong with the other seats. In fact, I had a Corbin 2-up at one point and it was very comfortable. I just didn't care for the styling. I ultimately went with the C&C because I liked the looks of it; the low price was a bonus!
