Default 2001 heritage softail wheel change

Hi to all, this is my first post i"m a newbie. Here is my question,Iwant to change out my original spoke rims for the HD profile laced style. The part # I think is 43011-05 front & the rear is 43014-05. I got the # from the 07 catalog but my problem is these #s only fit 03 thru 06,nothing about 01.What can be the differences from 01 to 03?I already purchased a set from a local person that took them off an 05.I would appreciate any info to help me out. Thanks alot,& have a safe riding season coming up.

Axle size is different. I have an 05 and the axle size is 3/4". I believed they switched to 1" in 2007.

I think his 01 is 3/4 so the wheels he is looking at should work look for a chart on a custom wheel site they may have the info

Thanks for the replys.Today I did a mock up of the wheels,I took old wheels off & put the new rims on without tires.I supported the bike with my handy dandy harbour freight jack.My axles are 3/4" & the bearings installed on the 05 wheels are 3/4",brake rotors lined up too, so lo & behold everything worked out.Now I have to have tires swapped out. Thanks again & safe riding.

The rim offset is the difference...HD moved the rim over farther to right (relative to the hub) approx another .100" away from the pulley to give more tire-to-belt clearance for the wider 150 tire they introduced in 2003
