My brother and I recently swapped out my forward controls to his mid controls. He has a '17 street bob, and I have a '13 street bob. We did everything by the book, and now we both have oil leaks coming from the bottom. Well, we didn't follow everything by the book; we didn't do the sequence when torquing down the inner primary and outer primary. Im a little new to this and would like to know your thoughts. Also, I dont know if it would be the gasket for the outer primary??? But both of our bikes are leaking. I can understand if just one bike was, but both of them are. Im going to attach some pictures and would love your guys input. The gasket seems to be sticking out on the top of the outer primary, too. Not a lot, but noticeable.
Just remember, **** runs downhill, Make sure it's not coming from something simple like the drain plug and finding it's lowest spot to drip off of before you start taking stuff apart.
Did you happen to put a new washer type gasket between the the inner and outter primary cover where the mid controls go through? If you didn't, you will have a leak and have to disassemble.

Good call.. the fact that both bikes are leaking from the same location which seems right by the same location of the opening of the shifter shaft is quite telling.. it is most likely the culprit..
Ramirez.. clean the oil from the surface and keep and eye on the back of the outer primary cover.. right where the shifter shaft exists the rear of the inner primary cover... if the issue is the missing washer shaped gasket then you should see oil seeping from the back of the inner outer into the front of the outer... perhaps stand the bike vertically so gravity does not bring the oil to the front outer primary...
