Let me start this by saying thank you to all who've inspired, helped, answered questions etc.I've never worked on a motorcycle at this level before. I've been a back yard wrench spinner since I was 13, primarily for myself and friends etc.
so this was a huge jump into the unknown for me.
Well this winter project was supposed to be engine performance and a few engine related cosmetics.
it quickly snowballed into a lot more.
07 softail custom with 43k miles

she has SE Slip ons, stage 1 A/C, & tune... On her way home Day 1
In the next 48 hours, she looked like this
new tins, shotgun air, -2 tubes,racetech springs, gold emulators installed.
that's all I did for my first step of mods, and this is where the winter project plans started.
Swap motor with a 96" with 4k miles and build it
107" BB kit
Stage II head work
s&s 570ce cams
s&s lifters
SE adjustable push rods
Bored intake
PC V
Hooker exhaust
All misc. Tools/gaskets/etc needed to perform the istall
Sent heads/jugs/intake to hillside cycle to do all my machine work.
Started disassembly of her day after thanksgiving 2016

Decided to swap final drive pulleys while I was in the primary, so I swapped from a 32t/66t to a 31t/68t... also got the yellow SE clutch spring.
Sporty 68 tooth Pulley New cam cover Engine almost completed
got a round oil tank Had it powder coated and cut small area from bottom to fit
while building the engine I stated ordering other parts as funds became available and before I knew it... I was way past engine only mods.

While I had bike stripped to frame I installed LED accent lights.
I've never been a fan of em, to blingy/etc.
but I figured if I did it my way and in moderation, my black bike could benefit from the cokor

Got to put some miles on her before dyno tune.
and still a couple things left to finish.
