Check our Lindby bars...they're pretty sweet looking...different from the norm (IMO).

Engine guards won't do much for style, but they will provide tip-over protection for you and the bike. They also provide a place to mount highway pegs, auxiliary lights, and snap-on chaps for cold weather.

I would not ride a motorcycle without engine guards AND windshield. Not only do the engine guards protect the bike's engine if the bike tips over, but also the rider. Imagine if your bike tipped over and trapped you under its weight - - - no thanks. The windshield is to keep rocks, insects, etc. from hitting me in the chest while riding. Living in Alabama, we get all sorts of beetles, bees, wasps, etc on warm days and those suckers hurt on impact.

+1. I do want my ride to look decent but in this case I'll forfeit looks.
I'm not going without my windshield and engine guard.

I probably wouldn't still be able to ride the same bike (in my sig), if I hadn't had an engine guard installed when this happened back in '06.

I replaced the front end, all the tin, bent a rear strut back inline, rebuilt the custom bags and she still runs without fail.

I like the looks too. To each his own, I guess, but I like the way the engine guard looks on my bike and on other bikes.
