What's the front fender, stock heritage? I see your rings are powdercoated black. That is what I want to do as well. Did you buy them, or have your stock ones powdercoated? You pretty much have the bike I envision mine to be. It's going to look great. Keep us posted. When it's all said and done, this could be a serious BOTM contender.
The front fender is a Ness frontdragger. I had my stock rims powdercoated and the white walls added. They did not want to scrape upthe rear wall while test fitting the back fender, so it will get put on at final assembly. I looked for some powdercoated rims on ebay, but never found any that were the same size. PC'ing isnt too expensive, its the labor of taking the wheels apart and messing with the spokes that kills you! Search the member list for jhogan20. After I started my bike, I found his and i was the same way. He was helpful on a few issues.
The tank is from drag specialties, with the 2" extension already attached. It's got a heavy weld line, so it will take some time to prep it for paint. Let me know if you guys want part numbers or anything from what you see. Pretty sure I have or can get most of them...
The very bottom of the swing arm I'm guessing? It doesnt drop that low. It has a lowering kit on it and can go a lil bit lower. I've got about 2" of travel right now between the tire and the top of the fender. I'm guessing I'll bottom out when I hit a big bump. I kept the stock struts, but I've seen custom struts on a bike like this that attach higher in the fender and drop that fender real low...
Ok, yes, there is a small gap now. I've seen a few bikes with the same fender, and all so far have had some sort of gap above the top of the swingarm...
