I have a FLSTCI 06 and recently got a 95" kit installed. Now I know that the download from HD runs the engine a little lean and to get better results out of the upgrade I made to the engine I would be well advised to install a PowerCommander.
I am curious as to how hard it is to install the PC myself. Now I ahve no real mechano qualifications, or real experience. I am very good with building stuff and so forth. So I was curious about if this is something I could do myself or if this is a take it to a shop and have them do it thing.
It is super easy. If you can change a tire on your car, I think you will be able to install the PC with no problems. It took me longer to get the seat back on he bike than it took to install the PC.
I just put one on my Deuce about two months ago. I am not a big wrench turner either. The PC III is almost plug and ride. The hardest part for me was fitting it under my solo seat. Oh, my Deuce runs much better with the PC III.
I know you are PROBABLY in the US but if you are in Australia or Europe don't forget to purchase the additional ACTIVE EXHAUST and AIRBOX plug eliminators!! I just put my PCIII in (and I NEVER work on cars or bikes) and it was SUPER EASY!! Only thing I didn't count on was some extra wires that nobody seemed to know about but Jason in France just confirmed with me via email that he bought the two eliminators I suggested (as above) and his engine light is now OFF. This may very well help anybody outside of the US who is about to install one of these puppies!

Thanks for the info guys
It's simply a matter of plugging it in to your main engine harnass, HOWEVER it's a challenge to properly locate the PCIII unit so as to fit under your seat. I ended up heating up my seat pan with a heat gun, to gain some clearence to be able to get my seat bolts in.
