Default FXSTC Apes - What Size?

What size are the apes on the stock 07 FXSTC?

I can't decide what type of bars to put on my Train. I like the stock drag bars but they are starting to put a hurt on my upper backbetween shoulders. I'm torn between duece bars & risers (I already have a set I got real cheap), Street Slammers (or some similiar t-bars), and mini apes (like the Softail Custom). I'm 6'2" and I can reach the drag bars OK--but something about the height, angle, or width of them is screwing me up. I know its different for everybody..I was about to get T-bars but now I'm thinking apes because apes would be the opposite of drag bars.

All advice appreciated!

Why not check these out, you won't be bent over as much and at least the the price is reasonable.
One word of caution, I am fairly sure your going to need new contol cables, brake lines and wire extentions for nearly any bars longer, wider, or farther back than you have now.The FXSTB probably has about the shortest set of lines and cables on any of the softails.

I have been researching this for a month now for my Fatty. I think 16's are the consenses here. But then again that is for a Fat Boy. I think the bars start a little higher on a Fat Boy. 16's and 18's look cool. The 20's seem like they would be hard to ride with.

If your looking for some apes with style, check out the Nash gimp's, www.nashmotorcycle.com . They make them from 12" to 20", so you should easily be able to find the right height. You can see a few pics of them on a couple bikes in the narrow apes thread that's going around...

Well, bar mods will have to wait a while. I had my 1000 mi. service done today, and my 2007 battery tray recall mod. I asked for an estimate for just labor on a bar and cable swap. The dealer here wants 50,000 yen or around $450! just for labor. Not really surprised. All Harley related stuff in Japan is super inflated.

I almost posted a new thread on this question but then realized I had already asked but not gotten a definate answer.

What size are the apes on the stock 07 FXSTC?

To follow up on my earlier post, I put 7" Burly T-bars on. They are more more comfortable than stock Night Train bars and were cheap because I didn't have to change any cables or wires. But, my long term plans call for Softail Custom sized apes and the retro King-Queen seat. Sort of a FXSTB/FXSTC hybrid. This takes me back to my original question:
What size are the apes on the stock 07 FXSTC?

10"x 1 1/4" is stock. If your gonna use apes consider which seat your useing and if your gonna lower the rear. Start there then deside how high to go with the Apes.. When I did mine the first time I just bought16" and then lowered the rear and went to a Corbin Hollywood Solo, and was reaching 3" above my shoulders.. before the seat and lowering the bike I was level with my shoulders... I had to redo all the wireing and cables when I went to 13" chubbys.. I could have used the old cables but didnt look clean and neat.. Trust me you only want to do It once or it can get expensive even if you do the work yourself...

I'd like to know the same thing because I'm wanting to get a set of bars that are the same height or close to it for my Custom, but in black. I'm a short guy and I find the stock bars to be really comfortable for me. They seem to be jus the right height and pullback.

I think the '07FXSTC "mini apes" are 10" tall and 1" diameter...at least that is what I got when I measured 'em. Older wideglide bars are basically the same size...#56079-93T...and cost less.

The streetboband the wideglide mini apes are 1.25 diameter.
