You mention being your first bike? If you are new to riding a motorcycle, please sign up for a local Motorcycle Safety Course... money well spent.

Have fund and be safe out there.
Already signed up for next weekend! Local HD dealer does it free for active duty military, i have been riding my dads bike for the last 3 years or so, but some formal education will be good!

Also a lot of states require it to get motorcycle qualification added to your license. Most insurance companies also offer a deduction if you've taken a course.

Thank you for your service

Glad to see you signed up for it. Even if you have been riding for a few years, you should learn something from it.

Nice ride! I just got a '15...I figured you had an aftermarket seat when I saw zero complaints LOL! It didn't fit me well anyway....I've had 3 softails an I like the the best by far, but I'm not a distance rider. "back in the day" when I was in the Navy we had to pass an AMA approved riding course to get base riding permission.

Same as the Army in 1979 when I was at Ft. Ord. It was fun watching the guys with the real raked choppers try to do the serpentine cone test.
