No start no fuel.
Hello all.
I am new to problems with my 2003 Fat boy .
It sets more than runs. Has 12000 miles. I started it before vacation Nov 2016 It started and died I was concerned but time was not on my side.
I tried it again when I returned it would turn over but not start, and fire with a squirt of carb cleaner.
I started with the filter, check valve, hoses and new fuel pump. The fuel strainer had disintegrated, I cleaned out the tank and installed new parts. Still no fuel, will still fire with carb cleaner spray. Checked the ohms on the crank sensor, got wild readings replaced the crank sensor, still no start no fuel. I get no codes.
I removed the fuel line from the check valve and fuel leaked out of the check valve. plugged it back in and same old thing. Any ideas, where to go from this point?

Record a running bike. Wire up some speakers and a radio to the ignition switch with the recording loaded.
2003 Fat boy, 12000 miles, The fuel strainer had disintegrated.
The strainer is the red flag to me. Are you sure you didn't put acid in there instead of gas at some point? Have a wife or girlfriend who hates the bike maybe?
If you've checked the fuel pressure after the quick connect on the fuel tank and it looks good, you might try looking at the MAP sensor. Oh, and stop letting your bike sit with ethanol gas in it.
