So i buy a new light for the wife's bike and I'll be dammed if I'm not stumped.
Put the new light in and install new ring that comes with it, light rattles around inside housing.. Figure must be wrong light, call Harley, verify part number, right number... WTH?
Took it back today and told them it didn't fit and so they ordered another one but same part number. Is there something else in the box that perhaps comes with the light that was missing from mine? All I got was the wiring harness, light, and black metal ring.
i even tried the original chrome ring but light still loose in housing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Return the overpriced daymaker and buy the JW Speaker 8700 evo 2. It's literally the exact same light sans the "HD" badging. Can be had as cheap as $250
I got a daymaker from eagle lights and it is same exact thing as harleys for $150 shipped. Great light very happy with it. It was also plug and play. Took less than 5 min start to finish.

The JW Speaker light is literally the exact same light. The eagle light is a knock off. Might be a good product but it's not made by the company who makes the daymaker for HD.
Thanks guys. Light should fit, so hopefully new one will be correct. Light was Birthday gift she requested, wasn't going to buy a knockoff when she requested the light.
