What to expect with higher miles?
I know I probably worry too much but I have been thinking a lot lately about what problems to expect with my wife's 2009 softail deluxe as its age and miles increase. She is about to hit 50000 miles and all I have had to do so far is replace the front wheel bearings. So I was just wondering how many miles do you have on your bike and what problems have you had?
I have a 2016 slim-s with 5000 miles no problems of course. I guess my concern comes from my 2006 street bob that front pulley in primary fell apart, front motor mount had to be replaced and inner primary bearing went out all around the 50000 mile mark. Oh yeah, had to replace seal on front shock and had some kind of clunk from steering head when you hit front brake that I never did figure out.

I've got nearly 75K on my 07 and really haven't had any serious problems. Mostly the usual like tires and brakes. I did replace a stator after cooking it while passing through west Texas at 100+ degrees and also the ignition switch. Right now I'm replacing the fuel pressure regulator housing ( it failed) and fuel filter while I'm at it. Beyond that it's been pretty much nothing..
