Default Deluxe with mini apes

Has anyone put mini apes (10 inch) on a Deluxe? I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and anything more than that would bother my shoulder! If anyone has a picture of theirs done with 10's I would appreciate a pic! In talking with a shop they showed me some Arlen Ness monkey bars that looked real nice! Perhaps someone can suggest another brand that they have had experience with!

thanks in advance
Ranger Rick

I have mini apes on my 2005 Deluxe. Most of my pictures of the bike are from the side so its hard to see them well, but in this video you can get a good view of the bars. Best view of the bars is towards the end of the video....

And here is a photo from the side :

Ever think about beach bars? I just put a set on and cannot believe how comfortable they are, plus they look amazing on a Deluxe in my opinion.

Hey Ranger Rick. To be honest, I really don't know what brand they are. The bike was in the shop and while there I saw the bars. The shop owner said, oh man, those mini-apes would look great on this bike. The rest was history.

I lowered the front 2" and the rear 1.5". Air is my end goal, but its just so darn expensive. With 2 kids heading to college, its hard to justify the expense to the wifey

I used progressive drop-ins in the front and the Dead Creak Softail Lowering Kit in the rear. Neither were hard to install, obviously the front took much longer then the rear. It certainly changed the ride. I wouldn't say it rides bad at all, but its definitely stiffer. Lets just say that I find myself avoiding bumps as much as possible.....lol
