Anybody done the whole exchange chrome wheels thing for the their fatboy? I noticed a few doing it on eBay. Just curious as to the quality of the finished product.
Also what is the general consensus on chromed fatboy wheels? YAY OR NAY ?
They look ok in photos but I have never seen one in real life. I have an 07 and so am curious as to the quality around the little holes especially.
Have also heard that some of the chromers polish the wheel , or that they do it more than others etc etc?? Any info graciously assimilated.

My local dealer had one 07 FB with the chrome wheels, IMO they look weird. The chrome finish looks weird around the holes on the wheels, giving it a tin can kind of look. I like them the way they are now. Save your money.
The cast wheels which you are considering having polished are very iffy to do. Cast (non forged) are full of pits, air spaces and other inclusions that the forging process squeezes out.
So, if you chrome a cast wheel, you may find many spots that are not smooth or perfect.
