Default Dropping Idle RPM

I was setting the idle on my carbed 01 FXST today. The idle drops down after it idles a while. if you rev it up it will go back to the higher idle but then will eventually go back to the lower idle. I checked for binding at the carb linkage and throttle cables and the linkage is against the throttle stop screw.I watched the throttle linkage as the idle dropped and it doesn't move. Anybody seen this before??

you may have accidently had the enricher out slighly or the engine was not complitly warmed up when you did you first adjustment.

Or you enricher cable is out of adjustment. (ive done both)[:@]

Thanks for the response. I checked both those things. It is almost like the timing is being turned down. Could the map sensor in the intake be messing up?

To my knowledge, the Map only controls timming advance when running under load.

But, if you had an intake manifold leak that is a posibilty. (less presure, less timming)

Is it a CV carb? (stock carb)?
