Default Screamin' Eagle Tires?

Has anyone tried the Screamin' Eagle performance tires on their bike? Can you tell much difference in performance? Do they wear out really fast? Also, heard that Dunlop makes these tires, under a different part number, without "Screamin' Eagle" written on the side. Anyone know about that?

Spike, skip the Dunlops and head on over to Avon. It is just a personal thing, but I've found the Avon's to be so much better than everything else out there. They handle, ride and definately wear better than the Dunlops. I dropped a note on another thread you had about the work on your bike. I'm definately digging the style you've created. A nice set of wide whitewalls would look sweet on there. Again, just my opinion.

I will check out the Avons. Thanks for the compliments. Your bike is lookin' very good as well. When I do the tire change I am getting my hoops and hubs powder coated gloss black, so I am thinking about going with blackwalls. I love the whitewalls when they are clean but I'm a slacker about keeping up with them. Also, I was pondering the idea of putting a rear sized tire on the front to get the geometry perfect. Would it fit? Any good reasons not to do it?

You said in the other thread you have a spare fender? Fit the new size tire to the front end, then "make" the fender fit around it. Looking at your bike, you're very competent at working on it, so it shouldn't be a problem. As to will it work? Sure it will. Look at some of the Exile bikes. They run some huge *** tires on the fronts. You might have to do some spacer work, but it will definately work. I think it would look sweet. Fat front tires never have caught on here in the US, but the look is huge in Europe. I've seen a Fatboy with a 200mm Avon on the front and a 230 Avon on the rear. He made his own triple trees to get the required width. Don't know I'd want one that big, but was definately a cool look. The black wheels and hubs will look sweet. I almost went with that for mine, but got a great deal on what I have. It's the only reason I used them.
