I own a 17 road glide. at my size, the fat bob will never sit in my garage. But I was at a dealership the other day. They were putting the bikes out. the fat bob I saw had the 114 in it. the sales reps were jumping over themselves riding that bike. all of them were EASILY lifting the front wheel up riding that bike. clearly a hooligan bike lol. the exhaust on it.... for a Harley, that was shocking to see honestly.
In my humble opinion (which to me means a whole lot lol), that bike is going to be the bike of the year in more than a few publications. I'm too big for it, but I sure as hell want to ride one.
I am 6'4" and 260 and it was plenty big enough. Now I did not see my reflection in the glass so I may have looked like I was F&$king a baby elephant
Yup, just bought a beautiful 2012 fatboy fully loaded last week.. The dealer let me test ride the fat Bob on the highway and I was mind blown! Holy cow this thing is amazing. I did a dead stop from 65mph within a 30ft range no problem. I just need to find a swing arm bag that would fit and I'm set.
When BMW released the R9T series it reminded me that there was a custom look that could bring the old boxer twin back into popularity without sacrificing nostalgia and this new Fat Bob just gives me the same vibe. It is so Harley but so much more at the same time. It has that industrial look and I can even live with that headlamp.
As for luggage options, pretty sure the new luggage rack and tourpak for the Heritage should work well for those times you need to carry stuff. All the while letting you ride hard

I am thinking the luggage rack and a large HD roll along sissy bar bag. You can get much more in the bag than you can in a tourpak, plus take it off and roll it to the hotel.
That plus the new windshield is my plan for touring on the 18 Fat Bob next year.
Whats your favorite color on the 2018 Fat Bob? Who's actually seen them? I'm between Vivid Black, Black Denim, and Gray Denim. Can't decide. What would you choose? I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Still waiting for a "local" dealer to get a 144 in Black Denim, that's what I'm leaning toward.
