Default Heritage bags

Hi all,
Okay, I really like the look of the bags on the bike. For those that have them, how do you pack these things? The opening is so small. I have a bag liner and I just put some clothes in it and tried putting the liner in the bag. I really had to shove it in there just to get the contents in. What's your method? I do some multi day rides several times a year. I'm not sure these will cut it.

I think most just use plastic bags.
I've got a few cheap drawstring backpacks that worked well for me.

I'm not sure they are that much smaller than standard hard bags but I imagine they are smaller.

In mine though:
In the left bag I keep two complete sets of rain gear, two joey chairs and an Antigravities XP-10 jump starter.
In the right bag I keep a tool bag with enough room left over for two days of clothing for two people.

I will say though both saddlebags are stuffed pretty tight.

My tour pak holds most of my Wifes personals as well as a small 6 pak cooler and our iPads.
Then on the tour pak rack I have a round tube that holds two decent sized riding jackets.

I also have locks on both bags and the tour pak.

Being creative I think I can pack almost as much on my Heritage as any bagger.

Good idea on the soft bags. I guess find waterproof ones and I'd be set

Thanks.

theyre Much smaller, having checked myself..you did say you can equal baggers If you include tour pack..not atall the same ..if you meant that..
that bag dump requires about full cargo evacuation when you need somethin..

Small bags like 1 gallon zip locks with 3 tee shirts, another with 1 pair jeans plus socks etc. It's easy to just stuff multiple small bags plus just return them to the same bags when dirty. Many sizes of zip locks, squeeze out the air and they slide right in and stack real tight. Big don't work.
