Default Out of Alignment

I have had a problem with the alignment on my Deluxe almost since I bought it. If I take my hands off the bars it starts going left almost immediately. The only thing that I can figure is that taking off the stock exhaust removed a bunch of weight from the right side causing it to lean left. I've asked my mechanic and he says there is no alignment adjustment on my bike. Does anyone else have this problem? Any way to fix it?

Check the rear axle adjustment, that is where the alignment is done.
Mine was going down the road sideways because of the dealer screwing it up. [ back end was swining out to the right]
They never did figuire it out. I discovered it after many hours of scratching my head!

I had the same problem with mine after my 1000 mile service.I used a 6'straight edge[long level should work]andsquared it on the tire while a buddy took measurements along the underside of the frame on both sides. This will show witch direction the tire is cocked.I adjusted the rear tire to square with the frame on both sides and I can take my hands off the bars and the bike tracks dead straight now.

If my mechanic (if I had one), told me there was no alignment to a bike, I'd find a new mechanic! You definately gotta make sure the rear tire is square in the swingarm. You can also knock the front out of alignment as well. When you were doing all you mods, I'm guessing you had the front wheel off. When you reinstalled it, did you do the following? First, loosen the triple tree pinch bolts, upper and lower. Next, install the wheel, slide the axle through. Do not tighten it. Loosely install the cap on the lower fork leg, do not tighten fully. Tighten the upper triple tree pinch bolt. Lower bike to the ground so a slight amount of weight is on the tires, and bounce the front suspension a couple times. This let's everything up front find it's "happy" place. Now, tighten the lower pinch bolt, axle nut, and slider cap. Everything up front is now where it belongs. It's seems like a pain, but it lets the front track more true. Obviously, the rear is the most common place to look. Try it first. If all's well there, look to the front.

I've actually never had the front wheel off since I bought the bike. The rear has come off for a tire change. It was out of alignment before then and they said it was straight when they replaced the tire. I think I'm gonna measure it myself though. That must be what the problem is. I hate having to lean over when I ride with no hands.
