Default cams/bearings

thinking of putting a set of andrews 57h in my 2017 softail slim s 110. my only question is the bike has about 700 miles should i replace the cam bearings? i know the older twin cams had bearing problems... anyone have any input or experience with the 57h? just looking for something a little bit more don't want to go all out with headwork or a 117 kit. i figured andrews 57h and push rod kit, now debating bearings also

Yes - definitely replace the bearings. The stock ones aren't full complement, so you may as well pull them and put proper full complement bearings in while you have it apart. They aren't expensive, but you will need a bearing puller/installer tool.

Heartland make a good and inexpensive one.

The 57H is a really nice cam and will work well. It would work better if you bumped the compression a bit with a 0.030" head gasket, but if you aren't taking the heads off, then it will still be enjoyable. Even better with headwork though....

.
Absolutely... Different cam manufactures use different bearings specific to their products. They are cheap insurance & you are already in there.

Remember, do it right or do it again $$$
