All the talk about the 2018's and I haven't seen the Anniversary Softails with the M8's. Maybe going to be 117's? I see the CVO Street Glide has the 117. I noticed on the Breakout (because I have one) they used to be called FXSB. Now they are called FXBR (regular Breakout-107) and FXBRS (S-model Breakout-114). Found this on one of the sites. But it says the CVO's would be the only ones getting the 117.
"2018 also represents Harley’s 115th anniversary and will launch a range of Anniversary-branded models to celebrate. The range will include the Breakout S Anniversary, Fat Boy S Anniversary, Tri Glide Ultra Anniversary, Heritage Classic S Anniversary, CVO Ultra Limited Anniversary and Ultra Limited Anniversary. There will also be two special versions of the Fat Boy S; the Anniversary V and Anniversary X.
The CVO models will be the only versions with the largest, 117 cu in version of the Milwaukee-Eight"
My 13 Heritage has a cool emblem and blue paint. Guess an 18 anniversary would not be an upgrade for me anyway.
If you don't think the new 18 Softail is an upgrade, you most definitely haven't ridden one yet. I'm not sure about the "Blacked out" look on the new Heritage yet, but they are crazy impressive in both ride/handling and power.
I put a deposit down on my dealers first (and probably only) 2018 Anniversary Street Glide Standard in Legion Blue/Vivid black, pictured below.
I understand these bikes are not ordered by the dealers but delivered as per allotment. I only know my bike will be delivered to me between October through January. So I wait with anticipation.
Reminds me of the mid 90's through the end of the century, you didn't walk into a dealer like today and drive out with what you want, you put your money down, wait and wait a little more. And in the meantime, you live with that anticipation, feels good again :-)
