Stopped by a local dealership and looked at the 2018 Fat boy 114. Not really hip on the front end but the rest looked really nice. Sat on it and lifted it up and 'WHAT". This thing was so light I asked the dealer if they replaced the top end with plastic. LOL. Haven't test rode it but a light top end bike usually handles pretty well. Anyway asked him to put up some #s and here's what they come up with. $14,500.00 for my 2016 Breakout (trade-in), $19,699.00 for the bike, $350.00 Prep, $390.00 freight, $638.45 taxes, and $418.00 title & doc. fees. So out the door (before trade in amount and cash down) $21,495.45. Does this seem pretty good? This dealership is usually treat me fairly well. Oh yea, free windshield and helmet.
3050 miles on the Breakout. Oh yea, I'm going to take a big hit on the mods on this deal. But trying to sell it out right is tough, with the new models coming out.
So it's not a great deal, but it's not marked up either. All depends on how you feel about it. I'm guessing with the 114 motor right? Also I'll buy the windsheild off your breakout so there is some more $$$ too.
It's pretty hard to get a good deal when the new model year bikes first come out.
If you: want it, are happy with the price, and you can afford it... get it.
Tell dealer to forget the Prep, freight and especially the title and doc fees.
Nope, it's a dealers market on the 18s. There was literally 3 people that wanted make a deal on the bob. Like vultures around my baby.. I had to get her out of there expense be dammed!
