Has anyone figured out why we cannot get into setup mode? I have tried all the ways mentioned here on how to get into setup mode, however no matter what I do I end up in DIAG. This was an expensive part and there is no reason I shouldn't be able to setup the colors. everything else works, speedo, tach, mileage....no issues. I am at my wits end. Called the local dealership and they said "I don't know"....well thanks... I have also unplugged all LED lights, tuner, load balancer and anything else I could think of....no joy. If someone has a solution to this obviously common issue with this speedo, PLEASE help me out!!!!
Do you have any other electrical aftermarket accessories attached to the bike?
I had the same issue as you have described when installing the speedo/tach combo. I had wired up some bar mounted speakers with enclosed amp and had run the power wire from that to the switched orange/white wire under the seat. The speedo/tach combo didn't like that. Found another wire for switched power for the amp and speakers and then i was able to fully set up the speedo/tach combo.

Thanks for the reply! I have a few different add on parts, but don't remember ever wiring anything to the orange/white wire under the seat. but I could be wrong. I will take a look and see if I find anything. What is the 'switched orange/white wire' for? where is it wired too? thanks again.

I can't answer what it is for or what it is wired to.
Yeah i only have LED lights with load balancer, fuel pack, and shotgun shock air ride system on the bike. I disconnected all except the shock and problem remains. I'm lost! Shouldn't be this difficult for a speedo swap...one odd thing is that it goes into 'diag' whether i switch to 'acc' or 'ign', when i have kill switch set to 'on' and hold trip button in...
