Well not exactly, Polaris pulled the Victory line to concentrate on the Indian line, continuing to spend resources on Victory diluted the effort required to grow the much more successful and stronger potential Indian line.

I'm not that buyer, but I bought one...I liked it that much.

My Evo isn't going anywhere, nor is my TC Dyna...but this bike will get its share of daily miles to be sure. Most buyers so far I've seen are long time owners who just appreciate the quality of these bikes. Nothing Vic or metric about them. I don't know what sales will do, but these are a strong offering from the Moco.

The verdict is out on the Heritage still, will that new monoshock prove to be a better design or will this suspension change have some issues/growing pains? its an unproven system for Harley & when HD changes anything - Look out.

I don't mind the look of the Heritage - but those Bags......they seem cheap, I like the functionality but the room & looks are terrible - The only thing right now helping sales is the 114 motor! once the novelty wears off I think sales will stagnate. As well - wtf no passenger back rest, no highway bars & the fender lights are gone....!

I think HD could of done something cool/different with the fender tip lights? & when it comes down to it the cost to turn this into a 2 up light touring model will cost you as much as a road king well equipped even close to a roadglide - crazy!

I ran to the local dealership at lunch to see them in person.

the Fatboy is hideous... which hurts my soul as my first Harley was a Fatboy.
I thought the Heritage is fairly good looking, and I am sure it will grow on me.
The Slim looked really nice.
The StreetBob was weird... that front light reminded me of those Cylons from Battlestsar Galactica.

They didn't have anything else

$24K roughly, each bike!!! wow

Here in SoCal they are generally MSRP starting at around $14,500.

Seen the new bikes in person. They all look good except the fatbob imo. It's bad ....at least in stock form. Seen a breakout in some sort of sparkly red with the m8. It was pretty damn good.

I find all the complaints about the Fatbob interesting.

It's exactly what Dyna riders have been asking for in every way except looks. It's got the suspension, brakes, chassis stiffness and power we've been asking the Moco for forever. It has better lighting, whether or not you like the looks. I was never fond of the dual round headlights either so I'd vote for the brighter of 2 evils.

A friend who has always been in the Overpriced, overhyped, underperforming camp rode the Fatbob (it was the least Harley, so that appealed to him). He was amazed by it and is stockpiling cash over the winter to buy it.

Harley needed to find a way to attract new riders while appeasing as many of the faithful as possible. Only time will tell if it's going to work. It hasn't worked with the Street in North America, not sure about the rest of the world.
