I may be showing my pre-new/old-schoolmentalityhere but after riding for nearly 30 years I believe footpegs are a downgrade...not an upgrade. If you want an FX look get an FX.Why strip down a bike you bought because of it's "old-school" styling? 20 years ago there was a forward control setup that used floorboards made of some kind of black plastic for those who wanted the stretch and comfort too. I thought it looked cheesy in the bike mag.
If you must do it though, hereis a link to a seller of the Khrome Werks system...it says they are for FX models but its a type error. They'll work for you. Its halfway down the page. If you do it put up pics for all to see.
There's nothing like riding 2600 miles in four days and "not aching" froma bike builtnot only for looks, but comfort too. I used to ride a stretched '65 Sporty rigidwith a 45 degree rake and way too long narrow springerbetween San Diego and Oklahoma and Texas. As much as I loved my chopper; I always admired the clean lines of the FL'sfat fenders and floorboards. When I got one; I realized why the"old guys"rode them. It took a POS crystal junkie stealing my '65 toprompt me to make the move.
