I received my new side plates from Bitchin' Seats and man the chrome is a nice as H-D's. I ran into an issue in that it comes with ZERO hardware to install. Not even the Pivot pins which are pressed into place and are subsequently not available for purchase from H-D. Since I did not have an old set of side plates I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I was able to get a set of rotary latches of of evilbay. Unless I can source a set of used plate with serviceable pivot pins I will have to use these Chinese made parts. It did not state on the site that you have to transfer all the hardware from your (assumed) old side plates to the new ones.

Yeah we just got back! She loved it! Way more comfortable that the stock backrest location! Thanks for the headz up on the Bitchin Seats side plates CHHBadKarma! When I get some of my debt from the bike paid off I will be looking into one of Riches seats! A bit pricey but after talking to Rich on the phone he has a passion for what he does and I for one can appreciate that!

Right on man, I'm glad things worked out for ya. I know the upfront cost of those plates is steep, but It sure beats trying a bunch of other options that in the end never work out right.
well done sir!
