Default Difference between Softail and Touring engine cases?

I have read the Softails have a bit of a different oiling system. And the extra balancer. Can anyone explain the differences.

The Softails have two balancing shafts that are chain driven off the pinion side shaft. There is an extra oil hole in the block that feeds oil to these shafts. The Touring models don't have this hole and the plate the oil pump is attached to, you block the feed holes off with supplied plates and screws. This is my observation on a 2011 and 08 Softail and an 02 and 06 Dyna and touring.

I believe the 2018 softail counterbalancers are now gear driven rather than chain driven. Basically an efficiency improvement on the Twin Cam B motors.

Can't speak to the oiling though...

Are you talking Evo, Twin Cam, or M8?
