I have a 2005 softail deluxe I have experienced this issue for at least 4 years. I will be riding at an even speed of 60-70 and i lose throttle. Lights stay on, no oil lights come on but I can pull off the side and turn off and restart it and I am back to normal.
So, when you say you 'lose throttle' the engine goes into idle speed? It does not stop running? Does it do this at any other speed? No spitting/sputtering?
