Look at any HD dealership and see how many 114 Heritage Classics and Fatboys are sitting on the floor. Then check out how many 107s they've got. It's possible those numbers will be 0/0, but I've been to a few where you can't find a 114 HC or FB and there are plenty of 107s on display. Most bikes get resold at some point, it'll be a lot easier to move the 114 and you'll probably get more satisfaction from it while you own it. For me it was a no-brainer, I didn't even consider a 107 Softail.

Interesting info here. Thanks for asking the question. I’ve never ridden a 107 but these are both so far beyond my old 88B I’m sure I’d be impressed with it too. I just crossed over 2000 miles and it’s starting to loosen up and even sound better. Thrilled with the 114.

I have the Heritage with the 107, I may have bought the 114 if a dealer had it in stock in the twisted cherry... but i demoed both 107 and 114 and noticed more pop in the 114 but the 107 was no dog. The 107 delivers plenty torque for me in all gears and will most likely do the stage I pretty soon.

I bought the 114 because for the first time ever I have a Harley that I can be satisfied with bone stock. That's no small thing.

Also consider that the 114 comes standards with ABS and its a $700 option on the 107, which makes the 114 only about $600 more....

The Heritage 107 & 114 are both standard with Cruise, Security & ABS.

True, but the OP was talking about the Fat Bob, and ABS is optional on the 107 Fat Bob.
