I've got a set of V&H big shots on my slim, which is low from the factory, and I lowered the rear 1.5 inches and I dnt scrape the exhaust at all. But I guess driving style should b factored in as well.
Gotta be your "driving style", because looking at your After pic I surely would have tore that pipe to shreds...LOL
I love the look of your bike. The Bobcat really fits your bike well. They both use the same headpipe with a different muffler. My tuner said they make very similar power.
Yes, that is what my engine builder says as well. Good choice on your pipe...it looks great on you bike.
I actually looked at hose, but then I realized 2-up riding would be out of the question.
Not sure why you couldn't ride two up with these...? They appear to turn up after the passenger foot peg mount (so they'd be behind the passenger's leg), and they turn-out aft, and away, from the rear of the passenger seat (so they shouldn't blow on the passenger's butt)...
I liked them better than the up-swept fishtails I saw, because the fishtails had one pipe below the passenger foot peg and one pipe above the passenger foot peg... I figured that would be a burn hazard for sure..

In any case, good luck with the search...
Wasn't worried about the footpegs...more of the loudness/sound right into the passengers ear
