Question On Compression Releases.

Did the 2016 models with the 103ci engines come standard with automatic compression releases?

I didn't look it up, but I'd say yes. You wouldn't be able to crank it otherwise..

After consulting my factory service manual I have concluded that I do indeed have ACM's or Automatic Compression releases. I had asked this question because My wife and I were out and about on the bike and I inadvertently shut the bike off while sitting at a stop light. Upon trying to restart the bike it would not turn over. It sounded like it had compression lock. It took three tries to get t to turn over. I looked at the heads on my bike and it indeed does have the ACR's

They will all do that occasionally. Just bump the starter a time or two to work the piston through the compression stroke. Based on your description, you must have been just at the very start of the compression cycle or should I say the worst possible spot..
