My boss has an 06 springer and he is constantly bitchin about how the bike is cooking him. I have and 06 bob and have no problems so I assumed he was just whining. Saw the bike yesterday and the first two feet of pipe on the back jug are blue. What's up? It's a fuel injected bike with next to no miles.

 

My left leg (upper thigh) feels like it's on fire when I get stuck in traffic. It has been up in the 90's latley. I'm not sure if it's the ignition module that is hot or just coming up from the primary and rocker box. But it's hotter on the left side.

yup these run hotter than my 04 heritage i had which was injected too

 

Softails have their oil tank under you @ss so that doesn't help much either.

 

Actually, they made mention of this temperature difference in the "Letters" section of the July 2007 issue of American Iron Magazine. In the end, Harley says this is what they do (big help) and the author said he put an oil cooler on and dropped the temperature 40-60 degrees. Don't know if this helps but I sure know I'm happier hearing that others have been abducted by aliens also.

 

HD needs more comp at home, maybe if Victory starts taking enough of their market away they might actually start giving a $hit about the customer base. Pisses me off.
