Added a LePera snakeskin seat today and some new brass highlights
The Lepera was designed for an OEM fender and was sitting up to high on the back side initially. I noticed the metal frame of the seat wasn't actually solid. Looking under the bottom felt, I discovered it was two pieces tack welded on each side, with a small slit running between the two pieces one side to the other. I put it on the ground, upside down and stepped on it repeadedly putting all my weight on it, effectively flattening the seat out until the back was 2 or more inches lower. I was able to bend it to fit the after market fender perfectly. Got the seat cheap on Ebay. Like new, custom snakeskin. Made my day.
I'm not feeling the copper wrap on the front frame. Going to take that off and try a different approach.
Thanks for looking.
Its your bike and I respect that completely, but I thought the bike looked better in first pic. Simple and clean. Too much going on for my tastes - too much copper and prefer the black seat. Also like the front fender in place.

yeah I agree actually. Im just experimenting. The front fender is off temporarily. Also preferred the black seat but this one feels better I may have it recovered in black. Thanks
Its a sweet bike. Im with you - I tinker and play with the bike too much. Dont know how many versions I have been thru on my 01 Fatboy. Wife hates the bike and is quickly starting to hate me! Have fun with it.

Agreed. Theres a fine line between cool and corny, and sometimes you got to experiment with the corny in order to find the cool
A couple new ideas I'm trying on the bike.
Jack Daniel's tin sign, wrapping the upper front fork housing (rough fit)
Dirty Gold tone pipes with holes and a black back ground.
I saw a picture of a ratted out bike with a really cool antique brass lantern for a headlight. I couldn't find one like it so I thought about this.....
First picture is a brass spittoon I got on Ebay for $20 bucks.
Second picture is my headlight and mounting ring setting in it.
In the third pic I'm just holding it up horizontally to get an idea of the look.
The mouth of the spittoon is perfect .. 7 inches. The light and mount ring fits damn near perfectly. Just got to figure out how to attach it and then attach the spittoon to the bike.
