Ok guys, I think i have found a really nice garage queen. Its a 2006 Softail Duece with 6500 miles on the odometer. I currently own a 17 Ultra Limited and I have been looking to possibly add a bar hopper. The Deuce is really nice looking, low miles, and has a stage one. The pipes are Vance and Hines. Its basically all stock after that, looks good in pictures though. With the low miles, the chain tensioners arent going to be an issue........ what else would be a concern?

 

Tires due to age, when was it last ridden, were fluids maintained, general condition, Sounds like a good find, but once you see it in person you will be able to tell a lot.

Thanks, I need to look at the tires and check everything else out. There are a couple of scratches on the tank, one is pretty deep. Im not worried about the cosmetics. I like the low miles, It is a Harley odometer. Does anyone know if those can be changed? The mileage is really low for the year.

 

It is my understanding the mileage is recorded and stored in the ECM. The odometer just displays the number in the ECM.

I always liked the long narrow tanks on those.
My local HD has two of them....

 

With that low of miles there won't be too much to worry about.

 

Check the date on the tires. It's actually a good thing to find that the tires are original. (Other then the fact your going to need new ones) That's a great indicator that the mileage is legit. Stock air filters is another one but as you said, stage one, so that's probably gone. They are dated as well.
