Just wondering if anyone has endeavoured to put RK Classic hard leather bags on a softail. I have an '11 Deluxe with V&H Big Shots. Of course I'm looking for advice pitfalls etc. I haven't even measured. Figured I'd throw it out to the forum as a first step. THANKS!
I did this exact thing on my 12 deluxe. I used cyclevisions baggers brackets, and a set of RK bags I bought off of craigslist for 200.00. The brackets are super east to install, and the bags match the styling of the bike really well.
Not a good idea runnin the V&H big shots. Most folks go with a tru dual system if they wanna run saddlebags. I prefer the old springer bags, really nice setup with duals. The other choice would be boss bags.
