I've never owned a HD before and have been contemplating a new Heritage or a Sport Glide, and had a maybe a dumb question. Seems like the M8 engines in the Touring bikes have plenty of options for new exhaust systems, but it seems the Heritage is lacking. I get that the Sport Glide is really new so it may take a while. But essentially all the Soft tails are the same frames, etc... Am I missing something?

The Softails are an 18 model a lot of gear isn't available yet .
Yeah, H-D likes changing from year to year, just so last year's gear doesn't fit new. I guess the tour bikes have had the M8 for awhile, so many aftermarket parts. Just wait, many aftermarket will follow.
M8 spftail is only a few months old, while the m8 touring bikes are about a year and half. I was in that first lineup on the touring bikes and had to wait for parts then too. Harley doesn't switch up very often, but the new bikes with different frames require different brackets. Prior the exhaust fit bikes for like the last 15 years (probably more). Most companies have slip ons out already, availability is a little slim and some are a "pre-order" still but expected to ship out next month.
