Right there with you, I have a 30" inseam as well on a 2018 Fat Bob with the Sundowner.
While I can flat-foot it, it seems like just an extra half inch would make the difference between comfort and stretching.
Turns out the Fat Bob is the highest seat of all the 2018 Softails. Harley makes a lowering shock kit; I've thought about getting it but it's not high on my priority list. Might be something you want to look at though?
I did see the HD shock ... lowers it 3/4". They sell a front lowering kit to accompany it as well. I still want to give a little time for Progressive to come out w/ whatever they're working on. Either way it's on my to-do list for the next year.

Anyone changed out a Monoshock and Front suspension of an '18 Softail.
Prices for the Low Profile Monoshock and Low Profile Front suspension are exspensive enough, but the labor hours and cost I've been quoted is rediculous. Over 9 hours at almost $100/hour...WOW.
Is it a DYI job, or are special tools need and the labor cost justified.
I demo rode a Heritage and then a Slim. The Heritage had a much better ride at whatever the shock was set on. The Slim had a much firmer ride to the point of being too stiff and that's with the rear shock set at minimum preload. My ready to ride weight is about 150. You may not want to trade shocks.

The Profile Low Rear Suspension Part No for the 2018 Heritage Classic is: 54000134. Can any owner of a 2018 Slim or other 2018 softail with the shorter Rear Suspension tell me what the part number is for their bike's rear suspension. Would like to know if it "actually" the same part as what HD offers to lower the Heritage.
I find it hard to believe HD would offer a part that acutally makes the bike ride worse. Their part description says it doesn't. It says it "preserves the ride quaility."
