Is there a difference in length between a FL and FX lower front suspension legs? It seems to look as if the FL is longer, but I can’t tell unless I had them both in my hands. I have FL front end that is 2 inches shorter and if I put FX lowers on will it get even lower?

Yes the legs are different. The fx legs take dust covers and have different fender mounts (different position). The fl tubes are about two inches shorter for the triple trees which have less rake then the fx trees. The fl front end also ends up being a hair narrower

That being said, you can swap the legs depending on what you are trying to achieve
