Just pulled the plugs on my 2009 heritage after having some starting issues. Ends up it was a bad compensator. However, these plugs look very lean to me.
What do you think? Is an Fuel management system in order?
The bike runs fine, no popping on decel. I have true duels and the SE air filter. No after market FMS installed. This was the set up when I bought the bike.
It looks very lean to me. If your letting in more air and pushing more out, you need more fuel to keep it from running so lean/hot. I have not heard of anyone doing pipes and air without something done for more fuel.
Previous owner must have dun something, at least a download or it would not run right and would be popping and weezing bad. But it does need more fuel by the looks of it. Put in a new set of plugs for a day and take a look then and decide.
Is it just my eyes or is the gap in the 2nd picture way too big? New plugs for sure. Call Fuelmoto and ask for their advice on a tuner.
you are correct, the gap is bigger on the second pic. I did do a little research, seems like a lot of guys like fuel motto. Power Commander V seems like a good choice for the $ . But ill give them a call and see what they think. Thanks!
