Default Softail deluxe driver footboard relocation

I have an 2009 Deluxe and would like to move my floorboards forward 1 to 2 inches to make them more comfortable during longer rides. I do not have crash bars on the front and do not plan to. I know I will need new shifter rods but those are easy to find. I haven't had much luck finding a good way to move my floorboards forward. I am only 5'10" but my toes hang over the front edge a good two inches for me to be comfortable

You may find the extra room your looking for by moving them OUT instead of forward. I put floorboard extenders from vtwingoodies on my deluxe and they really made a big difference. Moved them outward a little over an inch. Doesn't require changing anything else either. Worst case your out $60, but best case they'll save you a bunch on all the other parts required to move them forward. Good luck.

Another option is just replacing the floor boards n not the controls. That is if ur ok with keeping the controls n their current position. I put a set of Ness boards on mine n it has the adjustability to move them forward an inch or back an inch. I was happy with where the controls r just wanted to stretch my legs out when on the interstate.

All three are good choices, but my last choice would be the Kury or VTG relocators that move your boards out. The Ness 3" extension kit works as well, if you want to go that far forward however there is some brake line work involved (piece of cake, really).

Ness do a relocation kit with all the parts you need... moved mine about 2” forward. The fittings are the same for pegs or boards. Easiest option by far.
