To cold in the winter
Took my last ride of the year today.
About 36 degrees in Anchorage Ak this after noon.
Sure was nice out - lots of other bikes on the road to...
Road for about 3 hours and realized I couldn't feel my ***** any more.
I'm already going in to withdrawals thinking about five months with no riding!

Sorry to hear about you having to put your bike up. Down here in South Fla., The riding is alot better than the summer right now. Instead of freezing your B@lls off during the winter, ours turn into beef jerky during the summer.
All of us that are fortunate enough to ride year round should have some kind of memorial ride for the people that have to put their bikes away for the winter.

I am sitting here at the fire station listening to the rain fall. We are at 4000 ' altitude and the snow level is supposed to be 6000'. I don't like the idea of not riding when I get off tomorrow morning.
I feel it is a darn shame you can't ride in the winter. I have come up with what I think is a brilliant plan. Pay a shipping company to send your bike to west Georgia or any other warm destination a fellow forum member inhabits and send me 100.00 a month for fuel ($3.10 a gallon super) an I will ride your bike all winter so it won't get lonely. Of course you must pay for return shipping in March. Just a thought.
Come on...bundle up and ride.
Here in Northern Indiana, there is only about an 8 week stretch the roads get to messy to ride. Though I'll admit I tend to not ride once the salt gets on the road and until spring rains clean it up.
Hopefully, no snow for the New Years Day ride, but it is often in the teen's. brr. Skip the chaps and go straight to the carhart overalls...
Alaska....now that's real winter!

I feel your pain, man, not in your *****, just not being able to ride. Here, in Syracuse, NY, we get foot upon foot upon foot of snow for about 20 months a year. This will be my first winter not riding the Harley and I am putting off the storage as long as I can. Feeling down for sure.

Those are some nice pics. Nice bike and great country up there. I would think you at least have some great roads and scenery to enjoy while 'tis the season. Stay warm!
Heated gear. Resisted until I read a post from someone who wrote "Why did I wait so long". Now I say the same. At the least, get some heated gloves and plug them into you battery tender cable. It is what I do often. Only icy roads prevent me from going out.
I can feel your pain. I just got back from enjoying Biketoberfest riding down here in Daytona, and it got down to a brisk 70 degrees, almost had to put on long sleeves. Ha I love Florida!
