Anyone know of a company that makes a tall rigid sissy bar for the new Breakouts?
I had Ginz Choppers make this one for my '13 Breakout. They might still have the specs on file. (see PDF) I designed it to fit the standard Breakout sissybar mounting plates and to accept a standard HD backrest.

Try Ray Bowman of Top Hand Ventures. The best of the best. He made me one for my '18 Low Rider. It just flows with the fender because it mounts behind the struts. Only way to go. Anything mounted outside the struts just looks like an add on to my eyes.
I was concerned with the paint and was very careful during installation. If it is removed carefully I think the fender paint would remain untouched. You could put a layer of masking tape where it bolts up creating a little more clearance in-between the side plates and the fender.
I just ordered a sissy bar from GINZ CHOPPERS for my 2018 Breakout.
I ordered the 20" Devils Tail with matching Rack tail, Gloss black powder coating. 8" back rest with Red Diamond Stitching and the 2018 Softail mounting kit.
Pro's:
These look to be beautiful show quality sissy bars that are functional at the same time.
Several options to chose from allowing you to really customize the sissy bar to your bike. You can to with or without rack/backrest. They offer 15", 20"& 25" heights.
They offer military discount.
Cons:
This kind of quality is not cheap. my order was just north of 1000.00 shipped. (The wife is going to fking kill me when she learns what I just paid)
This is a Chrome bar similar to the one I ordered.

Unfortunately we have been together for over 20 years, she has her own account and we both have my account which is used for the bills and charge card... so we both get notifications when the card is charged... I just need to convince her that its more for her than me... Wish me luck!!! LOL
$1000 is a lot for a sissy bar but it is clearly nicer than the typical ones you see for less money. If you ever want a sissy bar bag for traveling, your sissy bar is tall enough for one of those made by Biltwell Inc. I've been looking at one for my '18 Breakout but hadn't seen any nice tall sissy bars to support it. I think this thread just cost me some money. As far as wives are concerned, when I buy something nice, like my Breakout, I try to have her focus on the original cost minus what I will sell it for one day. The net figure is what I'm 'really' spending. I don't know if she buys it but I keep trying to sell it. In your case, you could sell this sissy bar one day for at least 60% of what you paid for it so it really only cost you about $400 to use it as long as you want.
