Welcome to the forum from Texas.

There are many members that use 75w90 gear lube in their tranny. I use Mobil-1 75w140 in mine. What works for one person may not work well for another. Try it in your bike and see if you like it. If not you can always change it. It's that simple.

Their is an oil related subforum. Check here to see what others are using in their transmission.

After reading the claims by others I have tried various lubes. I could tell absolutely no difference in any of them. None. So in recent years I have just used HD Formula÷ . Its cheaper than the boutique brands and there are lots of high mileage bikes using it with no issues. In my opinion its one of those things people over think

Using the HD gear lube in mine for a couple of years. Seems to shift better and find neutral easier. No issues, no leaks. Got about 42k miles on mine.
