Hi All, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster yada, yada, yada. I am trying to find a sissy bar for 2018 Softail Slim. The only thing I would like to do with it is tie a sissy bar bag to it so I'd like to be a decent height, maybe 18 inches. I wouldn't need it for a back rest since I don't have a passenger pillion. The only ones I can find are on the Harley site for an ungodly price. Is there something reasonable that someone know of? Any help would be appreciated!
I just bought mine off of eBay from a company called the forge llc. It was $200 plus shipping but I was impressed with the quality and fit. There are others they sell for cheaper, but I liked the one with the cnc cut skull. With their bar, you dont need to relocate anything or buy any additional mounting hardware.
Their sissy bars are top quality, and look like OEM equipment. Plus you can custom order the height of the bar. For me, they just "look" right. This one is 18" - but looks taller due to the camera angle.
Thanks everyone for the advice. And the Street Bob looks awesome - looks like you got a a new seat as well!
Thanks, and yes to the seat, one of the injury's I had in a motorcycle accident last year was a broken back. that seat helped my comfort level a lot with the springs.
